Ethan's first day of second grade. Also, youtube Tuesday!

So Ethan started second grade today. Where did the Summer go? It seems like his awards day from last school year was a just a couple of weeks ago. Seriously! I time just flew by!

I'm really proud of Ethan today. Yesterday was the first day in pads this football season. He got knocked down pretty hard, and got back up. It left a pretty nasty bruise on his hip. I was concerned about him having a huge bruise on his hip this morning and hurting him too bad. Ethan's tough though. It didn't bother him as bad as I thought it would.

2 years ago when Ethan started Kindergarten we decided to walk him to school as a family. I made a video of that special morning. Since it's youtube Tuesday, I'l' share that video with you again today. The vid isn't the best in the world. It was shot with an older point and shoot digital camera. I'm thankful I have it though.

Power out at the studio today!

I've worked from home most of the day today, and when I left to go to the studio a few minutes ago, I learned the power was out there.

So if you called and left a message this morning, I haven't received it yet. Feel free to call me back. I've re-routed our toll free number to my cell phone until the power comes back up there. I have a regular answering machine there, and not voice mail. So I have no way of checking my messages there until the power comes back up.

We have had a ton of rain ever since about midnight last night. A tree fell over on a power line a block away from our studio, so that's why we don't have power. I am thankful for the rain though. We've needed it really bad!

Alana & Bryan's Engagement Session

A couple weeks ago I traveled down to Newberry to shoot Alana and Bryan's engagement session. We were able to shoot on the property where Alana grew up, and being able to do that is always very special.

Vicky & Chris's Engagement Session

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of photographing Vicky and Chris's engagement session at Furman University. I knew from the get go that this was going to be a great session. It was so obvious that they were very much in love!

As you can see I've changed the blog yet again. I really wanted to be able to show off big pictures. I really loved how that other blog looked, I just couldn't put big enough pictures on it.

I plan to get a brand new blog custom designed sometime this Winter. I just don't have time to do that during the wedding season.

I'm a little late today with getting you your Youtube Tuesday video. Sorry about that.

I'm back!

Yea, I took a few days away from blogging to catch my breath a little.

I'm gonna start getting everyone caught up on our weddings starting next week. I will post up a new wedding every day. I have at least 8 weddings that I need to blog on here, and at least that many bridal sessions and engagement sessions.

Coinciding with blogging weddings and other sessions, we will be having another blog contest. This time there will be a winner. The prize has not yet been determined though.
